There are so many different tools and resources on the internet that have been developed with education in mind, that finding really good ones can sometimes be time consuming and feel like you are looking for a needle in a haystack. The list below will give you a starting point of how you may be able to implement some flipped lessons, whether it be online or in the physical classroom. - National Geographic Channel
This is a fantastic resource which provides articles, videos and interactive content that covers topics including geography, archaeology, natural science, and the promotion of environmental and historical conservation. The majority of resources are free on this site.
- Bio.
Every life has a story. Biography.com captures the most gripping, surprising and fascinating stories about famous people. This website has over 7,000 biographies and daily features that highlight newsworthy, compelling and surprising points-of-view. Whether it be a celebrity, famous lookalike, historical figure or someone linked to crime, this site provides an insight into their lives through biographical articles and video.
- CK-12
This is a free website which offers resources such as text, videos, practice questions, quizzes and interactive components to aid students in learning, exploring and engaging with Mathematics and Science topics and concepts. Teachers can create groups for students and assign practice activities, share resources and track student progress.
- Brightstorm
This is a resource which provides lessons in Mathematics, English and Science. While there is a free membership option, this provides only limited access to the video content and a paid subscription is required for further access. Teachers can access a free 1 month membership to be able to view any videos they choose.

- Flipped History Videos - YouTube (Tom Driscoll)
This is a YouTube channel dedicated to Social Studies education and Flipped Learning. You can find short video clips on World History, Social Studies skills, Government and Civics (American), Flipped Learning and Technical tutorials.
- Hstry
Hstry is a digital learning tool that enables teachers, students and historians to create and explore interactive timelines. Using a platform designed to mimic social media, Hstry presents content in a format that is easily understood, engaging, and familiar to the 21st century student. With Hstry, teachers facilitate discovery as students explore primary sources, create timelines, and engage with history (http://www.hstry.co/).

This is a free educational resource which has audio and video tutorials for Mathematics. This project has both student and teacher created videos, with the main focus being that of kids teaching kids.
English:
- Feedly
Feedly is an RSS Reader which can be used across most user platforms. It brings newspaper, magazine and blog content into one place to be easily read, shared and saved.
Science:
- PhET
PhET provides fun, free, interactive, research-based Science and Mathematics simulations. The site offers workshops for teachers on using the simulations in class, and has videos and written resources on how the simulations can be integrated into the classroom. There is also a page with resources other teachers have submitted. Simulations can be run online or be downloaded.
- PlantingScience
PlantingScience is a free online resource to teachers and schools. The program provides volunteer scientists, resources, and activities to support innovation in teaching, learning, and mentoring. Open education resources are shared for student-centered plant investigations that integrate scientific practices and big ideas in biology. The site includes a Roadmap through an investigation for students and teachers which includes information on both doing and communicating Science. It also has plant investigation themes, each of which have student and teacher guides, toolkits, resources, handouts and handbooks. Finally, the site offers students the ability to communicate with their peers as well as scientists who volunteer through the site to mentor students, making this a site that is definitely worth further investigation.

This website provides a number of factsheets including topic specific ones for children & adolescents and general & sports nutrition along with other resources both general and Australian state specific. The site is a great resource for students, teachers and families.
- Eat for Life
This website provides dietary guidelines, nutrition calculators, information on understanding food labels and safety, brochures, posters and other resources for educators and consumers.
Design and Technology:
- Scratch
Scratch is a programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games and animations, and then share your creations with others around the world. In the process of designing and programming Scratch projects, young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively (https://scratch.mit.edu).
Library:
- Cooperative Library Instruction Program
This is a great website with a range of tutorials in video form which guide students through a range of information literacy topics including research skills, referencing, understanding the assignment and more. The site also provides a range of quizzes designed to complement the tutorials. While all of the resources are free, you will need to send an email to access the quiz answer keys.
- Teach Information Literacy and Critical Thinking
